I saw this picture on Whole 9's site and wanted to share it. I have heard it so many times, yet still struggle with putting sleep in front of exercise. Last summer I went to Robb Wolf's seminar
(www.robbwolf.com) and he talked about this for a long time...that it doesn't matter if you are eating perfectly and working out 5 times a week - if you aren't getting enough sleep - NOTHING WILL CHANGE.

Now off to freeze my ass off at soccer practice! YEAH!!! I will have to run to stay warm!

Ripe avocados
Juice of 1 lime
Minced shallot
Diced tomatoes
Minced cilantro
Salt and pepper
Mix together in a bowl and enjoy!

ReplyDeleteAh the topic of sleep! It is such a challenge to get 8 hours, I don't think it is possible in our household, but am really trying to go to bed by 11:00 pm so I get about 7 hours sleep then...
Meal 1: two chicken blueberry patties and coffee with coconut milk
Snack: grapes
Meal 2: veggie soup and celery sticks
Snack: almonds/cashews and apple
Meal 3: flank steak and sauteed bok choy, mushrooms and onions in coconut oil
Success story of the day - did not eat wine gums and coke bottle gummies at work (we have a candy cupboard in our office that is visited by staff from all over...)

4. smoked salmon & grapes cup of tea
5. I had two tutoring students tonight and I had to say no to Purdy's bell chocolates (my fav!) from the mom of the first one and a plate of baked goods from the mom of the second one... I had some almonds, cantaloup and a cup of tea they offered instead :)
6. Mexican salad with ground beef, guacamole, salsa, peppers, romaine lettuce - Awesome!
7. Tea tonight during Greys! :)
my guacamole recipe is similar to Matt & Jenny's, but I put garlic in it and season it with cumin and chilli powder. :)
