Sorry I wasn't able to post yesterday. I was out most of the day and had to go to 3 - 30th birthday parties last night... Yikes!
ReplyDelete1. scrambled eggs with spinach, onion and tomatoes
2. Whole foods salad/food bar; rotisserie 1/4 chicken, grilled zucchini, yams, ratatouille (really good but $$$)
3. prawns, cashews, salmon (appetizer - pre restaurant dinner)
We went out for a friend's birthday last night. We went to Raincity Grill to take advantage of their Dine Out Vancouver menu. Honestly, this was the hardest experience to stay on track. Overall, I was able to order off the Dine Out menu and follow the rules...
4. Appie: Endive salad with apple, walnuts, and duck prosciutto in an apple vinaigrette. Main: salmon with chard, carrots, celery (on a bed of lentils which I did not eat). Dessert: mountain berry herbal tea.
...It was such a challenge to stick to my rules over dinner. Everyone that I was with was great, but I was very envious of all their meal choices, not to mention their wine pairings while I drank my water. The worst was when dessert came (part of the Dine Out courses, so I ordered and let the three others eat it) and the server placed this yummy looking chocolate ganache in front of me :'( I didn't eat it.
5. cashews, prawns, salmon/tuna
Kirsten!!! Way to go, I am sure that was very difficult...good for you to make the choice to stay clean and you did it!! Your body will thank you :)
