I am off to Toronto today for 2 nights - so will be eating on the road. Luckily I have packed tons of good snacks & meals, and there will be a Whole Foods near me - thank goodness!

Day 41 - Feb 10

My sugar cravings are pretty much completely gone. This week I have focused on having no more than 1 serving of fruit per day and it's actually been really easy....

I am also focusing on not snacking. This has been harder as I get really hungry! So I have been making sure to only snack on protein & fat.

Sleep has been so good - I am not eating anything past 8pm

Overall feeling good, excited to continue :)

Day 38 - Feb 7

Claudia - the hash is amazing! It's ground beef (grass fed), grated yams, onions, peppers etc - all topped with fried eggs - it's become a staple for us and it's great leftover (I have it packed for my lunch today!)

I will ask Matt to post a recipe...

The snacking thing is going ok - I also am worst when I am at my desk all day - I am on alot of calls and am so used to snacking while I do it. Today I had a really early breakfast - so I brought 1 hard boiled egg and just ate it - now I will be fine until lunchtime - slowly but surely will get rid of my snack attacks!

Day 37 - Feb 6

Ok, so for the rest of February, I am going to shift my focus. I know that I can eat clean foods and really enjoy it, my cravings have subsided significantly, and I am feeling pretty good.

However - I am not seeing the results that I would like to be seeing. I have been doing lots of reading, and I am going to try a few shifts to see what happens:

1. I will only eat 3 meals per day (NO SNACKING)
2. I will eat no more than 1 peice of fruit per day (preferrably none if I can swing it)
3. I will only eat nuts if they are part of a meal (no handfuls/bowls anymore)
4. I will eat a high protein/good fat breakfast every morning
5. I will not eat past 8:00pm
6. I will focus on yoga instead of crossfit

Ok! This will not be easy, but I need to take it to the next level in order to reset my leptin and lower my cortisol levels, which I believe are playing a big part in my mid-section fat not going away. I have WAY too much stress in my life every day (I am constantly rushing from work-crossfit-airport)

Kirsten - if you want something in your coffee/tea - go for full fat cream - NOT SOY!!!! Soy is sooooo bad for you in so many ways!!!

Day 35 - Feb 4

I can't wait to get home, back to my bed & good food! I am sick of eating at this hotel & grocery store....I am grabbing what's easy (fruit, nuts, baby carrots) and am getting sick of it. Also my only meat selection in the morning is bacon & sausage - neither of which look very good. One more day!

Day 33 - Feb 2

I am in Halifax working for 5 days, so am up against the typical challenges that come along with travelling while eating clean!

This morning I ordered eggs from the hotel restaraunt, and said "no toast, no hashbrowns, just fruit". So of course they brought me a huge basket of toast, and a tomato with cheese all over it....yuck. I obviously didn't eat either!

I have hard boiled eggs & chicken, oranges, nuts etc. that I brought from home so I will take those in my bag for later :)
