  1. Jenny that is a really good post. I totally agree that each Whole 30 builds on the next. This time I never felt like the crack addict I did the 1st time.

The most comforting thing I take out of this for me is even if I get off track, it takes a mere 30 days to right the ship and get back on track.

Claudia and I have no intention to have Dairy or gluten products post Whole 30 but I am sure a few Bombay & tonics will be in the works, or perhaps I move on to Vodka sodas!! :)

I didn't eat enough earlier today, so by the time I had dinner I was famished! I'm a day behind (started Jan 2nd) so I'll do all my measurements ect on Wednesday. I agree, though, the 30 days just flew by!

  6. This is claudia...
Went to Wal Mart tonight to shop for b-day goodie bags and crafts for Taylor's b-day party (hate Wal Mart)... However, amidst the pending "freedom" of tomorrow, I had no urge to buy the supersize bag of peanut M&Ms or bag of ripple potato chips!!! Or valentine's chocolates. Instead I bought grapes, strawberries and avocados...Now, if I were shopping at the Liquor Store, well that would be a different story...

The article you posted really is good, as there is no pressure to eat strictly for the rest of one's existence. I think the big change that has occured yet again is just that attention that one now has re what they consume. I don't want to use the excuse of being stressed out at work and not packing a healthy lunch for example... The meal planning requires effort and planning but in the end one actually does save time.

This blog has been great, albeit "pushy" at times (ha ha), but I think we all need that kick in our behind from time to time. In some ways I will miss the "Whole 30 Dictators" (I mean Mr. and Mrs. Shaughnessy) holding me accountable re my meals... Somehow I don't think is the end my friends...

Meal 1: larabar, banana coffee with coconut milk (still hate black coffee)
Meal 2: salad with cherry tomatoes, yellow peppers and chicken breast with olive oil and balsamic vinegar
    Snack: apple, dates
    Snack: pepperoni stick, coffee
Meal 3: tomato vegetable chicken soup, strawberries
