How is everyone feeling? I'd love to hear about your energy, how your clothes are fitting, skin etc - and anything else you are noticing...you may not be feeling anything at all, and that is completely fine too!!! Getting your body used to not eating grains/dairy/sugar takes time, and is different for everyone.
Post your meals to comments!!
We went snowshoeing this morning - so beautiful!!

Well, sorry boys on this blog, but I have to comment on the fact that I made it through what can usually be a very grumpy, crampy PMS week and I feel pretty darn good. We played in the snow all day! I haven't noticed a huge change but my pants are fitting better and I am not as bloated.
ReplyDeleteI don't feel like I have to snack as much and I am having REALLY GOOD sleeps.
I have been feeling like I may grow feathers as I've been eating a lot of chicken and eggs and turkey!

Lory - what is you secret to having a "sweeter" coconut latte??
We are both feeling really good, also not bloated, skin seems clearer and overall energy is very steady. We are not sleeping as good as we should be - could be due to our old mattress and the kids waking us up... But despite this, I am feeling way more energetic. I feel pumped that we are halfway there - this blog has been a big part of "enjoying" this cleanse this time around...
Matt - what is pulled pork?? Will definitely try the pork chops and apple sauce dinner, what is the secret to not overcooking pork so it doesn't taste like rubber??
I found that if I added coconut water which is quite sweet it helped.
DeleteI love them now!
I want to know about he bacon too!
Pulled pork is pork shoulder, also called pork butt, cooked ever so slowly so that when it is done it literally 'pulls' apart! I do mine in our slow cooker, marinated beforehan. It is absolutely delicious! The key to not overlooking pork chops is to keep a close eye on them while cooking! Whether in the oven or on the BBQ, remember, you can have a slight hint of pink in your pork, not rare, but lightly pink and it will be succulent and yummy!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't able to get on here yesterday, so I'll post my meals now...
ReplyDelete1. 2 scrambled eggs, flank steak, kiwi
2. Mediterranean salad with olives, red onion, jalapenos, and grilled chicken breast.
3. Turkey blueberry patty (I made a batch today... pretty good except when I cooked them, I pretty much smoked my entire apartment out). Celery and almond butter.
4. Hockey game - success!!! I managed to smuggle almonds, an apple, and turkey patties in my purse and snacked on that during the game. Too bad it was such a terrible game.
5. herbal tea
