Day 14 - Jan 14

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KURT!!!

Hope you are enjoying a big Whole 30 approved dinner & a big cold glass of water tonight!!! :)

Don't worry - we will celebrate later. And Claudia - I don't think that smelling brownies is cheating....but isn't that just torture???

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Matt and I just loaded up on groceries for the next little while.....check out our fridge....doesn't really look like we are depriving ourselves does it? Yumm...

Post meals to comments!!

  2. 1. 2-egg omelet, with spinach, tomato and red pepper. Kiwi.

    2. Quizno's Mediterranean salad: lettuce, olives, red onion, tomato, and roast chicken. No dressing - red-wine vinaigrette. I've learned my lesson - there is NOTHING worthwhile to eat at Park Royal food court (I figured as much, just testing it out). Next time, if necessary, I will head over to Whole Foods.

    3. veggies, yam fries, almonds, apple, black coffee
I was at a birthday party this afternoon (as was Jenny). The theme was "kid party". A long list of "temptations"... No dip, no hot dogs (lol), no cheese puffs (yuck), no candy, no Latte, NO ICE CREAM CAKE (that was the only really hard one because it was a baskin robbins' cake :( ). But I did it! :)

    4. Spaghetti Squash with meat sauce (it's finally finished! haha)

I'm going to plan out my upcoming meals and go shopping tomorrow. Heading to the hockey game tomorrow night so I'll have to test out my "snack smuggling"...

  3. Crazy hard workout this morning...thanks Annie :) Definitely can see my energy and performance at the gym improving...

1: 2 poached eggs, 2 turkey patties, 1/2 avocado, 1/2 grapefruit, fish oil, black coffee

    2: banana, veggies, macadamias, tea

3: free range pork chops, mashed yams, apple sauce, broccolini (I LOVE this dinner every time)

Kristen - you did great today at the birthday party! There was really nothing there that I wanted to eat - just processed chemical crap. Not worth it at all. If I am going to indulge it's going to be good quality!

Tonight I am off to another friends get together...I know there will be alcohol & snacks there - luckily I am super full from dinner and am looking forward to a few frozen grapes when I get home!

  5. Meals for the Chumpies:
Meal 1: banana, apple, coffee (very rushed morning)
Meal 2: chicken thighs (left overs) and 1/2 avocado; Kurt had eggs for lunch
    Snack: dates
Meal 3: (Chump's B-day Dinner) - butternut squash lasagna (big hit), pan-fried in coconut oil prawns rolled in plain coconut; Dessert - baked apple/pear/blueberry crumble without the "crumble" part :) - sprinkled coconut/cinnamon on fruit and baked
    Snack: herbal tea

In terms of treats Jenny, I agree - I will indulge (eventually that is) only on quality treats - no cravings for twinkies here...
